The Filipinos have a very rich and colorful history. Their 7100 islands have been the business hubs of their immediate neighbors before the Indian majarajahs extended their boundaries to the Pacific Rim which was then  followed by the intrepid Islamic sultanates.  When the European Christians arrived, they were surprized to discover that the moors who once upon a time occupied and ruled their lands for hundreds of years had again beaten then to the draw. The moors reached the islands many years ahead of them and were well established and entrenched. Thus ensued the former conflicts.
